MARDI GRAS

Since I am so behind on posting this will not be a long entry, but picture is definitely worth a thousand words. Abney slept through most of the first parade but was wide awake and enjoying every minute of the second. She hung out with Aunt Fairy and really enjoyed the noises and pretty floats, and of course being with her Fairy. She wore the little pink gator onesie Fairy gave us, which she also wore on her way home from the hospital,
Great picture of Abney with her Fairy.I love this one of the two of us because it looks like we are sharing a secret.

For Saturday night we went out on the town for yummy dinner and to give Ben his first taste of Bourbon Street during Mardi Gras (it was a disaster and he has no desire to return during that weekend, it is a tourist trap and a half). But our dinner was of course delicious and even though Bourbon was crazy, that is what made it fun. It was also the first time we used a non-relative babysitter...although it doesn't really count since our sitters were Lindsay's mom and sister. Hey, they aren't related to us! Ha-ha It was like a nice way to get our toes wet on leaving Abney with someone else, and making sure we spend our quality time out. Especially great friends like Linds and Joe.We had an absolute blast visiting with Fairy Godmother and attending the parades. Next year we have already begun planning a longer stay and what we can do to make sure Abney catches even more beads.
