Nesting

Everyone keeps saying I am in nesting mode but I'm not sure about that. I think it is just the ability to finally move around for more than an hour without needing a nap that has me going. But yes, if cleaning out the fridge, freezer, pantry, and my closet are nesting then that's what I have been doing this weekend. It is quite satisfying to have order back in place, and I used it as an opportunity to stock the house with all the food I like to eat. Right now fruit is one of my favorites along with pizza and puppy chow. If the books are right I am certainly teaching her a healthy diet now...NOT!
Today I am finishing my closet project of hiding all the clothes I cannot fit into and replacing with maternity garb. Two of my girl friends from NC sent a HUGE box of their old maternity clothes and it has been so fun being able to fill my closet without having to totally empty my wallet. Transitioning to weight gain and wardrobe loss is difficult enough but by cutting out the clothes I know will not work it is helping me to focus on the happiness of getting bigger.
This Tuesday will begin week 22, which is the final week of month 5. I can hardly believe it has already been 5 months! I can definitely feel and tell a difference and at the end of week 22 she should finally weigh a whole pound. Yay! Now that she is beginning to take up more room I can feel her more often. Yesterday I just laid on the couch for a while laughing out loud because she was kicking me hard enough on the bladder that it tickled. The dogs thought I was crazy and you may too, but it was really fun to feel like she and I were hanging out together. In just a few short months we finally will...
The other big news this weekend is that two of my neighbors are also expecting! One is due January 14th and the other sometime in March. I am equal parts thrilled to have other babies for her and mommies for me. We have already started the discussion of nanny share opportunities and playdates.
