I never thought it could happen to me but it did, I was surprised with a birthday party! I am so nosey and dig into any detail I can find that I cannot believe Ben was able to pull one over on me.
My birthday is Friday and Wednesday night I planned to go to Ben's soccer game, which I thought was my idea. I invited pretty much all our friends from the neighborhood and everyone had something going on except for Shyann. We planned for her to pick us up and ride together. I didn't even think anything of it when Sallie showed up because I thought she was just feeling sweet and wanted to see Ben play and hang out with me. It also didn't bother me that Ben wanted to wear jeans and polo to the game and change when he got there since we had plans to go to dinner with Shyann and her husband after the game...
As we went out to our front yard to wait for Shyann Ben got the stupidest Cheshire Cat grin on his face and I started to think something was up. I told him I knew he was up to something but couldn't figure out if he really was since it is not like him to EVER skip a game. Well, next thing I know a Hummer limo comes pulling onto our street and when the door opens it was filled with all our friends that told me they had other plans. :) I was totally surprised and cannot believe Ben was able to keep any secret from me, I thought I knew it all! haha
We had a great time and went to a theater that was also the restaurant. We saw UP!, ate Sallie's homemade cake, and enjoyed each other's company. It was a wonderful way to celebrate.
