First Outings

Abney did not want to miss her Daddy's first season of coaching again and made it a point to get here early so she could watch his last weekend of games. She was wide awake on the car ride over to Emory and slept through the game, but at least she was there right? She even slept through the half time show when the entire Emory swim team came out in their suits and banged on the railings. If she can sleep through that I am hoping she can sleep through just about anything as she gets older.
After the game Nana, Daddy, Mommy, and Abney went to Ru San's for sushi. I love being able to eat raw fish again and have already had it three times in less than two weeks. Just writing about it now makes me want it again today. LOL When lunch was over Ben took Abney to her car and pulled around for Mommy and Nana so that all his women were catered to and no one had to walk. How sweet is that? He topped it off with a kiss to me and letting another woman know where his car was so she would be able to grab his spot. He gets the good Samaritan of the day award...and best Daddy and Hubby award ALWAYS.
Heading out in the stroller for her very first time. We went around the neighborhood with Nana and happened to run into our neighbor Brittni who is expecting her first little girl in January. While it is definitely difficult for me to get around the way I used to it is certainly a tad easier to push my baby instead of holding her in my belly. Plus, I get to look at her sweet face the entire time. :)
The walking has helped me heal fairly quickly and I am now able to walk the entire neighborhood. I've lost half the weight I gained which is a small victory. My goal is to be back in the gym lifting small weights this week and to work my way up to thirty minutes of cardio by the six week mark. Taking it one step at a time so that when I get the go ahead I can get back in shape for my triathlon. Yes, I still plan to do my triathlon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in honor of my uncle David. Training will begin at the end of January and I am really looking forward to it. Now that Abney is here I have even more reason to be inspired and healthy. The healthier I am today the longer we will have together.
